you need to explicitly allow it permissions on Windows OS to capture your screen, and it needs to be running with the capture keys configured (I set mine to Command Shift 9, but I don't recall the default) in order to have it capture. The only issue I'm seeing currently is that no matter what I've selected to be captured, uploading the screenshot to the cloud and copying the link results in just an image of the lightshot logo.
